Peering The Veil

POSTMODERN FEMINIST THOUGHT ~ ESOTERIC PHILOSOPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Creating a METAPHYSICAL world one CONNECTION at a time

Consciousness is pain.

My consciousness is not participating in this surgery.  Yet the human consciousness is forced to endure surgery on our material lives.  Tissue is cut and pulled away.  Tubes inserted into one area of life to resuscitate another.  The fabric of our world is cut, torn, bruised, stretched and patched back together every day, without anesthesia.

Cutting and excising tumors from the material world is subconsciously painful.  This pain creeps into our daily lives as disappointment, fear, sadness, lonlieness, anxiety and depression.  This is the pain humans must endure in the material world.

This is why approximately 1 out of 200 girls between the ages of 13 and 19 years old cut themselves.[1]  There is no physical release when our material world is sliced.  We internalize the pain of daily life and when it gets too big, we cut it out.  Sadly, these tumors cannot be physically extracted; instead, they are symbolically cut out.

Cutters get relief from the physical act of cutting because they are manifesting the symbolic nature of the pain.  When tears don’t work, they let it out through their blood. When our material world is cut there is no uniform method to release the pain.  We must manifest the pain into something tangible and therefore less frightening than the unkown.
